Dear Cathedral High School Family,
Since 1905 Cathedral High School has welcomed young women of all faiths and nationalities. We are extremely proud of the community’s global voice. In fact, we currently number 59 nationalities and 26 languages in our student body! Cathedral High School is first and foremost a Catholic school and we educate our nearly 500 students in the tenets of our faith filling the spirit as we nourish minds and bodies with a wide variety of outstanding academic, athletic, and extracurricular programs.
The word catholic with a small “c” means diverse and universal and we encourage our students to embrace their rich heritage and celebrate the vibrant cultural tapestry that makes up our community. Our hope is that all Cathedral women will “go forth and set the world on fire.” We challenge our students to be global citizens, to nurture a wide viewpoint, to embrace change and make their mark on the world. Cathedral women express themselves eloquently, passionately, and thoughtfully.
For over 125 years, Cathedral women have been a force for the future, prizing self-improvement through inquiry, showing compassion toward others, and uplifting their communities and families. Cathedral alumnae are doctors, lawyers, social workers, teachers, business women, advocates, politicians and more. In every industry, profession, or vocation you will find Cathedral women.
Our prayer for all our students is to live as Jesus taught us – seeking strength in the face of adversity, power to help others live better, fulfillment in our studies, and joy in our sisterhood.
Our doors are open to you with your questions, fears, hopes, sorrows, and laughter. All our faculty and staff share in the growth and development of each Cathedral student.
Welcome to Cathedral. Welcome home!
Sincerely,
Juliette M.Picciano Maria S. Spagnuolo
