SAT PREP CENTER
This list contains some SAT prep resources both online
and traditional classroom instruction. You will find that some are free, some
are low-cost, and some are at cost. This list is for informational purposes
only. Cathedral High School is not affiliated with any of the organizations.

Method Test Prep Online prep course where students can
practice at their own pace using real practice test questions. They offer
over 40 strategy guides, a full-length practice SAT, hundreds of SAT practice
questions, easy explanations to every question, strength tracking for each
section of the test, dozens of test-taking tips and strategies, quick study
vocabulary builder, practice quizzes, unlimited access from any
internet-connected computer 24/7. This is fee-based and offers subscription
plans that also include PSAT prep.

REVOLUTION PREP Traditional 6-week classroom prep course at a
reduced price. They offer courses on the West coast and East coast including
the New York Metro area.

Study Works Traditional classroom prep course for SAT and
PSAT. They offer a 300-point and money back guarantee; free diagnostic
testing, unlimited retakes and score based class levels. They have locations
in NJ, Long Island and Westchester County and also offer online prep courses.

Peterson's Online Test Prep Online prep course with no fixed
class sessions accessible 24/7 from any location with Internet access. This is
a reduced rate course.

Kaplan Test Prep Their fee-based courses are offered in the
classroom and online for most standardized exams including PSAT and SAT.

The Princeton Review They offer online courses and traditional
classroom prep courses. Prep courses include most standardized exams
including SAT and PSAT for a fee.

PowerScore Ultimate Test Preparation They offer full-length and
weekend SAT prep courses with access to their Online Student Center, four
proctored practice tests and a 200-point score guarantee (full-length prep
course).

CollegeBoard SAT Preparation Center This is a FREE resource for
students to practice SAT questions or full-length exams. This is offered
online only. Students can practice at their own pace. The CollegeBoard is
the organization that publishes the PSAT and SAT therefore it is highly
suggested that students take advantage of this website.

The Door The Door is New York City's premier youth development
agency, offering unique and highly effective programs for young people 12-21.
The Door's mission is to empower young people to reach their potential by
providing ESL, tutoring and homework help, college preparation and computer
classes, career development services and training, job placement, daily meals,
arts, sports and recreational activities. The only criterion for Door
membership is age (12-21). The Door's regular hours are Monday through
Friday 2:00 - 8:00 pm.

John Jay Upward Bound The goal of the John Jay College Upward Bound
Program is designed to help first generation high school students with their
academic growth and development. Through the services provided by the Program
(i.e. mentor ship, advisement, testing and test preparation-SAT/ACT/Regents,
personal counseling, formal academic instruction, assessment, cultural
enrichment, developmental workshops, college preparation and much more)
students enrolled in the Program find themselves with increased academic
readiness and motivational and confidence levels. The program is combined of
a rigorous tutorial component which takes place during the academic year, and
an intensive summer residential component. All students are required to remain
in the Program on a year round basis.
