SCHOLARSHIPS
 

1)       Key Bank is giving away a $5,000 scholarship each month until June 2008.  All you need to do is enter once each month for five chances to win.  Go to www.key.com/take5 to enter.
 

2)       Skidmore College has merit-based scholarships in Math and Science.  They award five $40,000 scholarships to students who demonstrate exceptional promise in Math and Science.  To be considered, you must respond to the Porter essay question on the Skidmore Supplement to the CommonApp.  For further information see your guidance counselor.
 

3)       The BP Community Scholarship Program (deadline 5/16/08) is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a limited number of qualifying high school seniors.  You must attend a two-year or four-year college in the fall.  They are looking at grades, work history, community involvement and financial need.  Application forms may be downloaded at www.bpscholarships.org.
